It’s safe so long as the medical/nursing staff as completely aware of your condition and take this into consideration when performing the procedure. This means providing you with appropriate IV fluids when you are fasting for surgery, checking your BMs regularly and ensuring you receive your insulin when needed.

I agree with above me - I have type 1 diabetes too.

I believe as long as something does not mess your back around, you’ll be find. Make sure to choose an implant that wouldn’t put a lot of pressure on your back, as it is key to Type 1 diabetes.

My mother had breast implants, and she is a tough woman. Sheis a sporty, athletic woman and she hated the pain of it. She loves her new boobs, though. XD

I believe it is completely safe.

The surgeons main concern will be about infections and if you have issues with healing. As long as your blood sugars (A1c’s) have been good or better and by that I mean consistently below 7% there shouldn’t be any problems. If your consistently above 7% or closer to 8% or more than extra precautions may be necessary.

But the procedure itself is not related to diabetes.
