I was doing some work at my neighbors house when I fell in their garage. When I got up I noticed that one of my implants had ruptured. Do you think their homeowners insurance will cover that?

I’m gonna say probably not. It sounds like more of a thing that health insurance would cover, since it’s in your body. But I also doubt you’ll find a health insurance policy that will cover ruptured breast implants
Your homeowners insurance would not cover it but your neighbors may cover it under Medical Payments/Medical Expense. Your neighbor should call their agent (not the toll free claims number) and ask for advice.

I’d be more concerned with the integrity of the other breast implant, seeing as how a fall caused the one to rupture. Could it have possibly been a manufacturing defect? I don’t have them, but I honestly thought they could hold up to a bit of abuse… I’d consult with the surgeon who performed the procedure and get his opinion first….

I think that you could have difficulty with that claim because there could be two arguments against you:
1. Your implant could have ruptured or been leaking out prior to your fall at the neighbors. In which case the neighbors shouldn’t be held accountable.
2. If your implants were an elective surgery, you would have been advised about the possibilty of their eventual or possible leaking when they were inserted. Therefore you assumed that risk of leaking or rupturing when getting them initially.
To get a claim from your neighbor’s homeowner’s insurance will may mean that you will have to sue them. If you do, their insurance company will have the legal right to any and all of your health records, etc. And, the lawyers will step all over both of you to get their share.
I would recommend asking the neighbors first. I would not recommend suing them to get insurance money.

It is so unlikely for your breat implant to rupture as the result of a fall as to be almost an impossibility. The force needed to rupture the implant traumatically would have damaged the overlying skin and at least fractured some ribs.
The most likely scenario is that if you fell onto your breast, you put pressure on an already ruptured implant, causing the contents to discharge and deform the breast.
I only tell you this as the insurance company can (and should) defend this claim vigorously and I wouldn’t like to see you embroiled in a legal battle that would be nigh on impossible to win
It should. You were injured on their property. That is what the insurance is for…
